So I made this last night with some chicken, rice, pineapple chunks and onion but I ate it before I got a picture.. sorry! (I found this safe for me to eat even in the middle of a flare-up so I consider it crohn's/uc friendly)
-Juice from a 14 oz. can of pineapple chunks (save the pineapple to go with whatever you're putting the sauce on :D )
-1/4 cup brown sugar
-1/4 cup ketchup
-1/4 cup + 1 tbsp white vinegar
-1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
-1/2 tsp granulated garlic (or garlic powder, I find both work well)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp mustard powder
Steps
1. Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan over medium heat until it's warm and slightly thickened.
2. Serve over rice, chicken, pineapple chunks, bell peppers, pork, beef, noodles, or whatever else tickles your tastes buds :)
