French toast grilled cheese

SUPER easy!
You need:
2 slices White bread or light rye bread (this is crohn's/uc friendly, you can use whatever bread you want, but i find these work best)
Cheese of your choice, I prefer light mozzarella or a not-too-old cheddar
An egg
Salt and pepper
butter or a small bit of oil

1. Turn on a stove element (5 out of 8 on my stove, so medium) and put in the butter (if you're using butter, if you're not just leave the oil til right before you put the bread in the pan)
2. Cut enough slices of cheese to cover a piece of your bread, cut them about half a centimeter thick
-this is where you'd add a dollop of oil and spread it around the pan, if you're using oil-
3. Beat the egg in a shallow bowl, add a pinch of salt and pepper each.
4. dip ONE SIDE ONLY of each piece of bread and put it in the pan, let the egg cook for about 45 seconds before you start putting the cheese slices on one of the pieces of bread. once the egg is a little stiffer you can put the piece of bread without the cheese on top of the cheese, egg side up.
5. let the one side cook completely, melting the cheese halfway, flip it and let the other side cook and the cheese melt.
6. take the sandwich off the pan and enjoy :)

I like dipping mine in room temperature table syrup with blueberries and sliced up banana on the side. My friend likes it dipped in ketchup with bacon on the side, it's all up to you :P
